Brown Gravy

After the oil is heated, add the flour and continue stirring it with a whisk. Keep going until the mix turns almost golden.

Step 2

Add the beef base or bullion mixture when the mixture turns blonde, then keep whisking.

The mixture will thicken upon stirring, and turn off the heat when it’s as thick as you want.

Beef Tips

Step 1

Slice the sirloin steaks into cubes of approximately 1-1.5 inches in thickness.

Spray your grill with vegetable cooking oil.

Allow the grill to reach medium-high heat. This will take four to five minutes.

Season your steak generously with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Place the cubes into the grill. Don’t disturb them for at least two to three minutes.

After three minutes, take your tongs and flip the filets.

Wait for another two to three minutes.

Cook the sides of the filets for two minutes and then flip again to complete the grill marks.

Cook for two to three minutes more, and then remove the cubes from the grill while there is a faint pink line in the center of the filet.

Step 1

Wash the potatoes thoroughly over the kitchen sink to prepare them for peeling.

Step 2

Cook on high heat until the water is boiling, then turn the heat to medium.

Keep cooking the potatoes on medium heat until it is fork-tender.

Drain the water in the pot by dumping the contents in a strainer, and then return the potatoes to the container.

Add the milk to the potatoes with ¼ cup of butter and mix them well with a whisk until you reach the desired consistency.

Add salt and pepper to the mixture to your taste. Ideally, this should be ½ tsp of salt and ⅓ tsp of pepper.

Mix the mixture well with a spatula, and voilà, your mashed potatoes are ready!

Wash the mushrooms thoroughly over the kitchen sink to free them of germs, and cut them as desired. Rinse again and allow to air dry.

Peel, slice and dice the onions into small pieces.

Put a pan on medium heat and add the butter. Allow the butter to melt.

Once the butter melts, add salt and pepper as you prefer. Ideally, this should be ½ tsp of salt and ¼ tsp of pepper.
