When clearing your dinner table, you may have wondered what to do with leftover peanut sauce.
Leftover peanut sauce does not deserve to go in the trash.
It can be used for many other things.
I enjoy experimenting with leftover peanut sauce and would be delighted to share my recipes with you.
You can add it to chicken, soups, steaks, and almost any dish you can name.
I love to eat pita bread with peanut sauce and salad.
But there’s so much more you can do.
So let’s get right to it!
The Best Leftover Peanut Sauce Ideas
Here’s the deal:
Since most of the ingredients are common household items, you won’t need to spend money on extra ingredients to prepare these recipes.
1. Ramen and Leftover Peanut Sauce
For the past few years, if there has been something that everyone around the globe has loved, it has been ramen. Frankly, because of all the variations.
You can add anything to your ramen, and somehow it’ll still taste good.
At times, it even tastes better.
The same was the case when I added my leftover peanut sauce to my ramen while casually having my midnight snack.
I was not expecting it to be that good, but man! I loved it.
And it is super simple:
Boil your ramen. Add some veggies if you want, and throw in that leftover peanut sauce.
Sprinkle some garnished peanuts on it, and there you have it.
2. Pad Thai Rolls and Leftover Peanut Sauce
Food from the Asian region has been gaining popularity for several reasons.
Asians are spread out throughout the world.
Two, their food is fantastic.
And by fantastic, I mean drool-worthy.
In college, I saw an Asian kid enjoying some rolls that looked transparent.
That was my first interaction with Pad Thai rolls.
They are easy to make and do not require much work.
Get a handful of veggies and shrimp. Chicken can also work.
Make your rolls with rice paper, as the recipe says, and enjoy them with the leftover peanut sauce.
This is the one thing I often do when the question arises: What to make with leftover peanut sauce?
3. Spaghetti and Leftover Peanut Sauce
When it comes to noodles, there’s no stopping me.
Whether it’s macaroni, spaghetti, pasta, or any noodle-y thing, I just can’t keep my hands away from it.
Especially spaghetti, the mere thought of noodles dipped in sauce, rolling over my fork, ready to go into my mouth, drives me crazy.
This recipe isn’t complicated.
Keep your spaghetti a little undercooked, as the peanut sauce will boil it more with its liquidy texture.
I prefer making spaghetti with simple chicken sauce.
Just add the leftover peanut sauce to the pan while you make the sauce.
For the sauce, you need milk, cheese, the spices of your choice, and cream (half of the milk).
Bring all these to a boil and add the leftover peanut sauce.
For chicken, just stir-fry it with a few herbs and spices.
Mix everything in a pot, and you have your delicious leftover peanut sauce spaghetti.
4. Peanut Sauce as Salad Dressing
I usually eat salad every day for lunch.
You must be picturing boring broccoli salads, but my salad bowl looks completely different.
It is a bowl of lush green cabbage, lettuce, mushrooms, olives, garden cress, and corn.
Remember one thing, not every salad tastes good with peanut sauce.
Some can taste awful.
One time, I had this salad with goat cheese, tomatoes, salad leaves, and chicken.
I found leftover peanut sauce in my fridge and mixed it with my salad.
Gosh, I never ate that salad again.
Goat cheese does not go well with peanut sauce, and that is one thing you must remember.
Other than that, there isn’t much you need to do.
Add peanut sauce to your salad and enjoy the best salad ever.
5. Peanut Chicken Gravy
Chicken is everyone’s favorite.
Some people won’t agree with my statement, but I’m talking about the majority here.
The chicken gravy tastes good with almost everything.
Whether you combine it with tortilla, pita bread, rice, or anything you like.
And this is why my friends always ask me to cook peanut chicken gravy.
Though I use fresh peanut sauce most times, leftovers work too.
Just add the peanut sauce while making the gravy.
If you like it, you can add some peanuts to it too.
Add the chicken at the end.
For the presentation, drizzle some peanut sauce on top and sprinkle herbs.
And bon appetit!
6. Chicken Skewers and Leftover Peanut Sauce
I do not like my chicken skewers without sauce.
Although many people find the right taste without chicken skewers, my experience has always been different.
But do not add lemon to your chicken if you eat it with peanut sauce.
Keep the process simple and quick.
Cook your chicken skewers and serve them with the leftover peanut sauce. You will love it.
7. Veggies and Leftover Peanut Sauce
If you are health conscious and like healthy food, leftover peanut sauce can help add some taste to your veggies.
The best combination is carrots with leftover peanut sauce.
It does not require much effort.
Get a bag of carrots from the market, dip it in the peanut sauce, and enjoy.
You can try other veggies too, like cucumber, green beans (I love KFC’s version!), potatoes, etc.
These work great with peanut sauce.
You can try different vegetables with peanut sauce and stick to the combination you like the most.
8. Tofu and Leftover Peanut Sauce
If you are a vegan, this combination is for you.
Tofu is pretty dry to eat on its own.
And this is one of the many reasons people barely eat tofu.
But once you try it with peanut sauce, you will come back for it repeatedly.
Stir fry your tofu and eat it with the leftover peanut sauce.
It will prove to be an ideal appetizer.
9. Peanut Beef Steak
Everyone loves a classic beef steak.
Although I don’t like beef, the peanut sauce makes me want another bite.
You might wonder: How does this human not like beef but love peanut sauce on beef steak?
Let’s say I’m a peanut sauce fan.
Cook your beef steak the way you like it.
But decrease the amount of oil/butter.
In the same pan, add your leftover peanut sauce and a bit of water.
This will give your sauce a watery texture.
Top your steak with this sauce, and enjoy!
10. Peanut-y Tempura
Like dynamite chicken, I present The Peanut-y Tempura!
Well, that’s what I like to call it.
Do you know what the best part is?
- You only need to fry your tempura
- Throw that piping hot tempura in leftover peanut sauce
- Give it a good mix
- Serve!
You might question: Is that it?
Well, yes. That’s it.
11. Peanut Sauce Chicken Sandwich
The way Ross loved his “Thanksgiving leftover sandwich,” I love my leftover peanut sauce chicken sandwich.
Add whatever you want along with the chicken (I recommend using breast slices).
Spread that peanut-y goodness on both pieces of bread.
Put them together and enjoy the delicious sandwich.

12. Mutton Chops and Leftover Peanut Sauce
I know mutton chops taste well with barbeque sauce, but that’s because you have yet to try them with peanut sauce.
Dip your mutton chops in leftover peanut sauce and taste the goodness you have missed.
13. Fries with Peanut Sauce
Next up are fries with peanut sauce.
It might sound weird (this isn’t your steak house fry sauce), but trust me, this recipe is on a whole new level.
You can say garlic mayo sauce is the best to pair with fries, but that’s because you never gave peanut sauce a chance to prove its worth.
This is your sign to try fries with leftover peanut sauce and to pray for me with every bite you take.
14. Peanut Shrimp
Many people prefer shrimp to any other seafood.
That’s because shrimp tastes like chicken but is juicier.
So, here’s what you need to do:
Boil/fry the shrimp till it is ¾ cooked.
Add the leftover peanut sauce to a pan and heat it.
Now: Add your shrimp to this pan and cook it for nearly 5 minutes.
Enjoy your peanut shrimp.
15. Egg Noodles with Peanut Sauce
There comes a time when our body craves something that does not involve meat.
For such times, I present my secret peanut sauce egg noodles.
Make sure to take out ¼ cup of pasta water.
Add this pasta water to the peanut sauce.
Once the noodles are done, add them to your sauce and devour this meatless dish.
Peanut sauce is a favorite among many of us.
And I often make it in huge quantities for the sake of using it later on.
But this was not the case a while ago, when I was unaware of the use of leftover peanut sauce.
And I think everyone always has leftover peanut sauce crying in their fridge to be eaten by someone.
Now that you have different ideas on what to do with leftover peanut sauce, you can share these ideas with your friends too.
