Ingredients

  • 1 can Black Beans 15 oz
  • ½ cup Oat Flour
  • cup Pasta Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Hot Sauce
  • ½ cup Cashews
Instructions

  • Drain and rinse the black beans, then place them in a food processor. Pulse until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
  • In a large bowl, combine the processed beans with oat flour, pasta sauce, hot sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Add cashews to the food processor. Pulse until you get a small, even crumb texture. Add the cashew crumbs to the bean mixture and mix thoroughly.
  • Form the mixture into burger patties using your hands. If the mixture is too wet or sticky, incorporate a little more oat flour until manageable.
  • Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and firm.
