Texas Roadhouse New York Strip Steak Recipe

Texas Roadhouse's New York Strip Steak is all about a bold, flavorful crust and juicy, tender meat. Do I have your attention now?
I like to coat mine in a mix of coarse salt, cracked black pepper, and a little smoked paprika for extra depth.
For a little extra flavor, I’ll rub the steak with a bit of olive oil mixed with fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary.
A knob of butter melted over the top as it rests adds richness and keeps it extra juicy.
Oh, and flip the steak only once to keep it juicy, and always use a meat thermometer for your desired doneness.

  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika

  • In a bowl, combine Kosher Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Brown Sugar, Smoked Paprika, and Cayenne Pepper.

  • Once heated, lightly oil the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the steak on the hot grill and cook for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust the cooking time according to your preferred doneness.
