Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll Recipe

  • 1 Bamboo mat
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 rice paddle
Ingredients
  
  • 4 oz Sushi-grade salmon
  • 1 ½ cup Sushi rice
  • 2 sheets Nori sheets
  • 1 Avocado sliced
  • Green onions
  • Rice vinegar mixture rice vinegar, sugar, and salt
  • 2 tsp Spicy mayo mayonnaise and sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp White sesame seeds
Instructions
 
  • Rinse the sushi rice in a strainer until the water runs clear.
    Add the rinsed rice to a medium saucepan with 1 ½ cups of water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
    Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed.
    Let the rice cool and mix in the rice vinegar mixture (1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt).
  • Dice the sushi-grade salmon into small pieces, mix it with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of sriracha sauce and set aside.
  • Place a nori sheet on the bamboo mat.
    Using a rice paddle, spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori sheet, leaving about a half-inch empty at the top.
    Sprinkle white sesame seeds over the rice.
  • Lay avocado slices, spicy salmon and green onions in a line along the bottom third of the rice.
  • Using the bamboo mat, gently roll the nori sheet starting from the bottom, tightly tucking in the fillings as you roll.
    Apply medium pressure to ensure the roll stays together.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the roll into equal-sized pieces.
