  • 4-6 oz salmon filets
  • Steak seasoning of your choice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1/2 red onion sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 6-7 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
Instructions

  • First, preheat your oven to 425°F.
Check the Alaska canned salmon for doneness and remove any bones or skin.
Remember to use 4-6 oz salmon filets for this recipe.
Season the Salmon with your preferred steak seasoning.
    Set aside.
  • Slice the red and green bell peppers, red onion, and mushrooms.
    Set aside.
  • Cover a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper to facilitate easy cleanup.
Place the seasoned salmon filets on the sheet, skin-side down, if any is left.
Place the sliced vegetables around the Salmon.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the Salmon and vegetables.
Bake everything in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the vegetables are tender.
  • While the Salmon and vegetables are cooking, toast the hoagie rolls.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place slices of provolone cheese on each filet.
Set the oven to broil and return the sheet to the oven for an additional 1-2 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Carefully transfer each salmon filet onto the toasted hoagie rolls.
Add the roasted vegetables on top.
Close the sandwich and enjoy your delicious Salmon Cheesesteak!
