Red Lobster Biscuit Recipe

I’ve found that using cold butter and cutting it into small pieces is the key to achieving that flakey texture we all love.
You won’t want to skip the garlic-gold butter brushed on top as they come out of the oven – it’s simply delectable.

Ingredients
  
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 8 tbsp Unsalted Butter divided, some melted
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
Instructions
 
  • Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Cut 6 tablespoons of cold butter into small pieces and add to the flour mixture.
  • Use a pastry cutter to create a crumbly texture.
  • Add buttermilk and cheddar cheese to the flour mixture.
  • Mix gently until dough forms.
  • Avoid overmixing.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
