  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Heat to 350°F (175°C) and ensure that the middle rack is in place.
Add a parchment paper or use a silicone mat to a baking tray.
  • In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the large egg, vanilla extract and almond extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just blended.
Add 2 tablespoons milk as needed to bring the dough together.
  • Use a rounded teaspoonful of dough to shape the cookie balls.

  • If you want to include colorful sprinkles, gently press them onto the surface of the cookie dough before baking.
  • Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the preheated oven and bake the cookies for 7-8 minutes or until the edges begin to turn a light golden brown.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for approximately 5 minutes.
Then, transfer them to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
