PF Chang's Chicken and Broccoli Recipe

This homemade take on PF Chang’s Chicken and Broccoli gets that rich, caramelized sauce just right!
The chicken needs to be sliced thin and cooked quickly over high heat so it stays tender while developing great color.
For the sauce, a mix of soy sauce, garlic, and a little brown sugar creates that deep, savory-sweet balance that makes this dish so good.
I blanch the broccoli for a minute before stir-frying—it keeps it bright green and crisp without turning mushy.
Served over rice, this dish comes together fast and tastes just like you went to the restaurant!

  • 1 tbsp Ginger grated
  • 3 cups Broccoli Florets
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions

  • Marinate the sliced chicken in soy sauce, ginger, and black pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  • This brings out the flavors perfectly.
  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add marinated chicken slices and cook until they're browned.
  • In the same skillet, add chicken broth and let it come to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and let it simmer.
  • Add broccoli florets to the skillet, cooking them until they are vibrant and tender.
  • They should soak up the flavors from the broth.
  • Mix cornstarch with a small amount of water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet.
  • Stir until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli evenly.
