Ingredients
  
  • 1 pound fresh pork chops
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Perry's herb-garlic butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
 
  • Prepare the herb-garlic butter by mixing the softened butter, parsley, chives, minced garlic, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
    Set aside.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) and grab a baking dish large enough to accommodate the pork chops.
  • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika.
    Rub the seasonings on both sides of each chop.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
    Sear each chop for 3-4 minutes per side, until they develop a golden-brown crust.
  • Transfer the skillet with the seared chops to the preheated oven.
    Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C) on a meat thermometer.
  • While the chops bake, prepare the sauce by whisking together the chicken broth, white vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme leaves and flour in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
    Spoon the thickened sauce over each chop and top with a generous dollop of Perry's herb-garlic butter.
