Pappadeaux Alligator Sauce Recipe

A tip to enhance the sauce is to balance the creamy base with a kick of cayenne pepper.
Heat butter in a pan, add onions for sweetness, and stir in flour to create a thick, velvety consistency.
Incorporate clam juice gradually to keep the sauce smooth.
Finish it by stirring in cream and spices for just a few minutes, and you’re ready to enjoy!

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning

  • Preheat the oil in a large skillet to 350°F.
  • Make sure the oil is hot enough to fry properly without soaking the meat.

  • Shake off any excess.
  • Carefully place the coated alligator pieces in the hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown on all sides.
