Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, measure out the mayonnaise and buttermilk.
Add the ranch dressing mix packet to the bowl.
Sprinkle in the black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
Whisk all ingredients together until well combined and smooth.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Give the dressing a good stir before serving.
