McDonald's Mocha Frappe Recipe

This McDonald’s Mocha Frappe copycat is thick, chocolatey, and just the right amount of sweet!A good frappe needs strong coffee, so I always brew mine a little darker than usual before chilling it.Check this! Using frozen coffee cubes instead of regular ice keeps it from tasting watered down as it melts.A combo of chocolate syrup and vanilla extract balances the coffee’s bitterness without overpowering it.And guys, use whole milk for a creamy texture, but if you want it extra rich, a splash of heavy cream is GREAT!Topping it with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup makes it feel like it came straight from the drive-thru!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coffee brewed and cooled
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate Syrup
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 cups Ice Cubes
  • 1/4 cup Half and Half
Instructions

  • Brew fresh coffee and allow it to cool.
  • This step is essential to avoid melting the ice too quickly.
  • Freeze some of the cooled coffee in ice cube trays.
  • This prevents your frappe from getting too watery.
  • Add the coffee ice cubes, chilled coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, sugar, and half and half to a blender.
  • Make sure everything is evenly mixed.
  • Blend these ingredients on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Aim for a thick consistency that can be sipped through a straw.
  • Pour the blended frappe into a tall glass and enjoy immediately.
  • Feel free to add a swirl of whipped cream on top if you like.
