McDonald's Biscuit and Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
  
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Butter cold
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 lb Pork Sausage
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
 
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix together 2 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl.
  • Cut in 1/4 cup of cold butter until the mix resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Pour in 3/4 cup of buttermilk gradually, stirring just until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fold it over a few times for flakiness.
  • Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • In a skillet, cook 1 pound of pork sausage over medium heat until browned.
  • Drain and remove sausage, leaving drippings in the skillet.
  • To the drippings, add 3 tablespoons of butter.
  • Stir in 1/4 cup of flour until bubbly.
  • Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk.
  • Cook for a few minutes until thickened.
  • Stir in the cooked sausage, salt, and pepper.
  • Serve the gravy hot over the freshly baked biscuits.
