IHOP Steak Tips Marinade Recipe
I’ve found that marinating the steak tips for at least 4 hours gives the best results. Adding a touch of brown sugar to the marinade creates a subtle sweetness that balances the savory notes. For extra tenderness, I recommend letting the marinated steak tips come to room temperature before cooking.

Total Time 20 minutes mins
- 2 lbs Sirloin Steak cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
In a large bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and brown sugar until well combined.
Add minced garlic and black pepper to the marinade mixture, stirring to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
Place the cubed sirloin steak into a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
Pour the prepared marinade over the steak, making sure all pieces are coated.
Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor infusion.
When ready to cook, remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess liquid.
Cook the marinated steak tips using your preferred method – grilling, pan-searing, or broiling until desired doneness is reached.
