Equipment
  • 1 food processor
  • 1 large mixing bowl
Ingredients

  • 1 pound prime rib cooked and thinly sliced
  • 8 cups mixed lettuce (including romaine)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 cup blue cheese
  • 1/2 cup walnuts roasted
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoons apple sauce
  • parsley flakes
  • salt, sugar, paprika, garlic powder to taste
Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, apple cider vinegar, water, Worcestershire sauce, dry sherry, apple sauce, parsley flakes, seasoning salt, sugar, paprika, and garlic powder.
Blend until well combined, creating a tangy and flavorful dressing that will delight your taste buds.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed lettuce types, including romaine lettuce, with the cherry tomatoes, red onion, and walnuts.
Toss the salad to mix the ingredients evenly.
  • If you haven't already, cook the prime rib according to your preferred method and allow it to cool before thinly slicing it.
  • Gently mix in the thinly sliced prime rib to the salad, followed by crumbled blue cheese, which adds a creamy, tangy taste to the dish.
If you wish to add some nutty flavor, add roasted walnuts at this stage.
  • Drizzle the prepared salad dressing over the salad, ensuring all ingredients are coated evenly.
Adjust the amount of dressing to your preference, and season the salad with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • To finish the dish, top the salad with a generous helping of chopped fresh parsley.
This adds extra flavor and a vibrant touch of green.
Serve the salad in a large bowl or individual plates alongside some sourdough croutons, if you wish.
