Gordon Ramsay's Steak Sandwich Recipe

Gordon Ramsay’s steak sandwich is a stunning combination of tender beef, spicy tomato relish, and mustard mayonnaise on toasted ciabatta.
When you’re making this sandwich, make sure to get the beef just right—it can make all the difference.
I always give my beef a generous seasoning before cooking and let it rest to keep it juicy.
Pairing this with caramelized onions or Havarti cheese can take the experience to a whole new level.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ribeye Steak
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 Onion sliced
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 loaf Ciabatta Bread
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 cup Arugula
Instructions

  • Start by seasoning the ribeye steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  • Heat a skillet over high heat.
  • Add the seasoned steak and cook for about 3 minutes on each side to achieve medium-rare doneness.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet, and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • This keeps the juices locked in and ensures tenderness.
  • While the steak rests, slice the ciabatta bread and toast it lightly in the oven or on a pan.
  • Mix the mayonnaise and mustard for a zesty spread.
  • Assemble your sandwich.
  • Layer mayonnaise mixture, sliced steak, arugula, fresh tomato slices, and caramelized onions inside the toasted ciabatta.
