  • 1 Medium bowl
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 spatula
Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter pecan ice cream optional topping
Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease mini springform pans or a regular cake pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, along with baking soda.
    Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, using an electric mixer with a paddle attachment, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
    Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture while alternating with the milk.
Mix just until all the ingredients are fully combined.
Be careful not to overmix the batter, which could result in a tough cake texture.
  • Pour the cake batter into the prepared mini springform pans or regular cake pan.
Spread it evenly using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
Bake the cake for 15-20 minutes if using mini springform pans or 30-35 minutes for a regular cake pan, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool slightly in the pans on a wire rack.
  • Once the cake is slightly cooled, remove it from the pans and serve warm with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream if desired.
By following these steps, you'll be able to create Del Frisco's famous butter cake at home.
Its moist, buttery texture and delicious flavor make it a classic dessert and the perfect sweet treat to enjoy with friends and family.
