Burger King Zesty Sauce Recipe

That creamy, tangy sauce from Burger King is the reason onion rings taste so good (well, I think so anyway!).
The heat from horseradish is what gives it that recognizable kick, but too much can overpower everything else.
I like to mix in just a little extra lemon juice to brighten it up—it keeps the sauce from feeling too heavy.
A touch of smoked paprika and cayenne rounds it out with just enough warmth without making it overly spicy.
After mixing, let it sit in the fridge for a while. It thickens slightly, and the flavors balance out so every dip has the right punch of heat and creaminess.

  • 2 tbsp Horseradish
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar

  • Whisk together until smooth.
  • Add the sugar, lemon juice, vinegar, mustard, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  • Mix well to fully combine the ingredients.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the sauce to a container with a lid.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour for the flavors to develop.
  • Taste the sauce after chilling and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • You might want a bit more cayenne for extra heat.
  • Serve the zesty sauce with your favorite finger foods like onion rings or french fries.
  • It’s also fantastic as a burger topping!
