Ingredients
  
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk plus more as needed
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup plus more for drizzling
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons malted milk powder

Instructions
 
  • Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, kosher salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a small bowl.
    Stir until well combined.
    This will be the chocolate sauce for your milkshake.
  • Take your blender and begin by adding 1/4 cup whole milk and 2 tablespoons of the chocolate sauce.
    Blend the mixture for a few seconds to combine.
    Add 1 pint of vanilla ice cream to the blender.
  • Incorporate 2 tablespoons of malted milk powder into the mix for a delicious, richer flavor.
    Blend the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
    You can adjust the consistency of your milkshake by adding more milk if necessary.
  • Prepare two tall glasses for serving.
    Drizzle the sides of each glass with extra chocolate syrup.
    Pour some of the vanilla and chocolate milkshake into the first glass, followed by a squirt of chocolate syrup to create a layered effect.
    Repeat this process, alternating between the milkshake and chocolate syrup, until the glass is full.
    Do the same for the second glass.
