Equipment
  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 mixing bowl
Ingredients

  • 1 cup Aunt Jemima waffle mix
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • TT butter for the pan
Instructions

  • Preheat the waffle iron and add a little butter to ensure the mixture doesn’t stick.
  • While the waffle iron is heating you can combine the 3/4  cup of milk with 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of oil, and 1 cup of Aunt Jemima’s mix into a bowl.
  • Stir this mixture thoroughly until all the ingredients are combined, then set aside for a few minutes.
  • Pour the batter into the waffle iron until full and close the top. Cook until the indicator shows it’s cooked.
If your waffle iron doesn’t have this indicator you can easily tell when a waffle is cooked by checking the steam that gets released. Once the steam stops you know it’s done and can remove the waffle from the iron.
  • Repeat this process until you have run out of batter - depending on your waffle iron size this recipe should produce about 8 waffles.
