TGI Friday's Tennessee Whiskey Cake Recipe

TGI Friday's Tennessee Whiskey Cake is my go-to recipe when I need a dessert with a bit of flair.
The best part, in my opinion, is the whiskey syrup you pour over the cake—it really makes the dessert distinctive!
Here's a little trick:
Poke a few holes in the cake before adding the syrup so it soaks in and keeps the cake super moist.
Using good ol' Tennessee whiskey is a must to get that authentic flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/2 cup Butter melted
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Tennessee Whiskey
  • 1/4 cup Pecans chopped
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, whiskey, and vanilla extract, mixing until the batter is smooth and well-blended.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans and raisins until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spatula, ensuring all corners are covered.
  • Place the pan in the oven and let it bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center – it should come out clean.
