Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib Recipe

Cooking a delicious prime rib at home might seem intimidating, but with this Texas Roadhouse Prime Rib recipe, you'll feel like a pro in the kitchen!
You'll marinate the meat with a blend of black pepper, sugar, garlic, liquid smoke, and soy sauce, giving the roast a rich, smoky flavor.
Marinate the meat for two days to ensure it's incredibly tender and juicy.
You'll be cooking the roast at different temperatures to achieve that perfect medium-rare inside.
One reason I love this recipe is because it never fails to impress my friends and family with its incredible flavor.

  • 1 Prime Rib Roast 5-6 lbs.
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Rosemary fresh, chopped
  • 1 tsp Thyme fresh, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
Instructions

  • Combine the olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper, rosemary, thyme, and salt in a bowl to create the marinade.
  • Place the prime rib roast on a wire rack in a large roasting pan.
  • Pour half of the marinade over the top side of the rib and rub it in thoroughly.
  • Flip the prime rib over and pour the remaining marinade, making sure to coat evenly.
  • Cover the roasting pan and refrigerate the marinated prime rib overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Place the marinated prime rib roast in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes until the exterior is browned and seared.
  • Lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and continue cooking for about 1.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (medium-rare is about 135 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Remove the prime rib from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing to retain its juices.
