  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cans Tomatoes 28 oz.
  • 2 cans Tomato Paste 6 oz.
  • 2 tbsp Parsley
  • 2 tsp Basil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Cottage Cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Parsley chopped
  • 1 lb Mozzarella Cheese sliced
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 package Lasagna Noodles
Instructions
 
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, and garlic.
  • Cook over medium-high heat until browned.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Add tomatoes, tomato paste, parsley, basil, and salt to the meat mixture.
  • Simmer for 45 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, and chopped parsley.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spread some meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  • Spread a layer of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles.
  • Add a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  • Let sit for 15 minutes before serving.
