Skillet or sauce pan
large pot
stirring spoon
- 2 cups grated parmesan
- 1 stick butter
- 1 pinch salt black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 package pasta (fettucine or whichever pasta shape you like)
If you are making this alfredo sauce to eat with pasta, start by cooking your pasta according to the directions on the package.
Take a skillet or sauce pan.
Warm up the cream and butter, then season it with salt and pepper.
Use a grater to grate your parmesan cheese.
You’ll want to split it up so that half is in a large serving bowl and reserve the rest.
Into that bowl, pour the cream-butter mixture on top of the cheese.
Drain your pasta and add it to the bowl with the sauce, tossing it to combine.
Add the remaining cheese, and toss again.
If it’s too thick, you can add a little pasta water at a time until you get the right consistency.
Then it is ready to serve!
