Equipment
  • 1 Stir fry pan
  • 1 Nonstick skillet
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Chef's knife
Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 3/4 cup Chicken broth
  • 3 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Carrots
  • 1/3 cup Frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup Sliced green onion
  • 1/3 cup Fresh bean sprouts
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Minced ginger
  • 1 tsp Minced garlic
  • 2 tsp Molasses
Instructions

  • Bring the chicken broth to a boil in your saucepan.
Add the rice and let it simmer for15 minutes. The liquid should be absorbed into the rice.
  • While that boils, mix the soy saucewith the garlic, ginger, mustard, and molasses, then set this aside.
  • When the rice is cooked through and the liquid is absorbed, remove it from the heat.
You’ll then get your stir fry pan ready by heating the sesame oil in it (just 1 tsp, reserve the rest).
Once the oil is hot, scramble your eggs into the pan.
  • When the eggs are done, add another teaspoon of the sesame oil and stir fry the carrots, green onion, peas, and bean sprouts for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Now you’ll add the rest of the sesame oil along with the rice and stir fry this for 3 to 4 minutes, moving it around the pan so it is completely spread out to cook evenly.
  • Finally, add the soy sauce mixture to the pan and continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes.
