Equipment
  • bowl
  • Skillet or baking dish
Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 8 tbsp cubed butter
  • 3/4 cup milk (more or less if needed)
Instructions

  • Preheat an oven to 425°F
  • Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Then cut the butter into the mixture until it looks like cornmeal.
  • Create a well in the center of this mixture by punching it toward the sides of the bowl. Then slowly add milk into the middle.
Mix with the fork until combined, and start to knead the dough.
  • Roll out your dough onto a lightly floured surface until you reach the desired thickness. After that, cut it with a small biscuit cutter.
  • Transfer your biscuits to a buttered baking sheet or a skillet so they touch each other and the edge.
Bake for about 12 minutes or until they get golden brown.
