Pappadeaux Seafood Dirty Rice Recipe

Ooh yes, Pappadeaux's Dirty Rice is one of my favorite recipes for this...and for good reason!
Imagine the best Cajun flavors, all coming together in one spoonful.
Just be sure to cook the rice nice and slow so it soaks up all the spices.
This is definitely one of those dishes that goes with almost anything, so it's always a winner!

Ingredients
  
  • 2 cups Rice cooked
  • 1/2 lb. Ground Pork
  • 1/2 lb. Chicken Liver chopped
  • 1 can Tomatoes 14.5 oz.
  • 1 cup Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Bay Leaves
Instructions
 
  • Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  • Use long-grain or any rice you prefer.
  • In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add ground pork and chicken liver, browning until cooked.
  • Add bell pepper, onion, celery, and garlic to the pan.
  • Cook for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  • Mix in tomatoes, Cajun seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaves.
  • Stir well and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, and then simmer for 15 minutes.
  • This helps blend all the flavors together.
