Equipment
  • 1 medium-sized mixing bowl
  • 1 13x9-inch baking dish
Ingredients

  • 8 refrigerated biscuits buttermilk or canned
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Non-stick spray for coating the baking dish
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar maple syrup, or fruit
Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
Lightly coat a 13x9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  • Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and cut each biscuit in half horizontally to create two biscuit halves.
If using buttermilk biscuits, slice each one in half as well.
Place the biscuit halves in a single layer at the bottom of the prepared baking dish, with the cut sides facing up.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
Pour the French toast batter evenly over the arranged biscuits in the baking dish.
Make sure each biscuit is well-coated with the batter.
Allow them to soak for a few minutes so the biscuits absorb the liquid.
  • Once the biscuits have soaked up the French toast batter, place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • After baking, carefully remove the French toast biscuits from the oven.
Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Top with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or your favorite fruit, and enjoy your delicious French toast biscuits!
