Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 2 tbsp Butter pecan extract
Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of brown sugar with 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (which is equivalent to 1 stick of butter) over medium heat.
  • Stir the mixture continuously until both the sugar and butter are fully melted and combined.
  • Carefully monitor the heat to prevent burning.
Once the mixture is smooth and the sugar has completely dissolved, reduce the heat to a low setting.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of butter pecan extract to the saucepan and mix it into the sugar and butter fusion.
  • Continue to stir the mixture over the low heat for an additional minute to ensure that the butter pecan flavor is infused throughout.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool slightly.
It will thicken as it cools.
  • Once cooled, transfer the butter pecan syrup into an airtight container for storage.
