  • 2 cans Peaches 15 oz., sliced, heavy syrup, drained

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, self-rising flour, sugar, and half the cinnamon until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • In another bowl, mix the drained peach slices with the remaining cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Gently place the peach mixture over the batter without stirring.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, ensuring the batter rises up around the peach slices.
  • Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
