Equipment
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 spoon
Ingredients

  • ½ cup Tomato ketchup
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tsp Hot sauce
  • ¼ cup Apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
Instructions

  • First, ensure all your ingredients are measured and within arm's reach.
This will make the process easier and more efficient.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the ketchup, BBQ sauce, and hot sauce.
Place the saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the sauce from sticking to the pan.
  • As the sauce begins to warm, mix in the apple cider vinegar.
If you prefer a milder vinegar sting, you can substitute white vinegar or use a combination of both.
  • Add the paprika, brown sugar (or maple syrup), ground black pepper, and salt to the saucepan.
Stir well to ensure the dry ingredients are thoroughly incorporated into the sauce.
  • Allow the sauce to heat up slowly, stirring occasionally.
This process should take around 4-5 minutes.
  • Once the sauce has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Your Chicago Mild Sauce is now ready to serve!
