  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Instructions
 
  • First, cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
    For most pasta types, this involves boiling water with a pinch of salt and cooking the pasta for about 7-8 minutes until it reaches an al dente texture.
    Drain the cooked pasta and set aside. 
  • While the pasta is cooking, season the boneless, skinless chicken breasts with the Southwest Cajun spice.
    Be sure to cover all sides of the chicken evenly.
    Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    Carefully add the seasoned chicken breasts into the skillet, and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). 
  • Once the chicken is cooked, transfer it to a plate and let it cool for approximately 1 hour.
    After the chicken has cooled, thinly slice it into strips.
    In the same skillet used for cooking the chicken, reduce the heat to medium-low.
    Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    Stir the mixture well to combine and create a creamy sauce.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the creamy sauce in the skillet and mix well to evenly coat the pasta.
    Gently fold in the sliced chicken pieces, ensuring they are well distributed throughout the pasta.
