Mix the warm milk and active dry yeast in a bowl.
Let it sit for 5 minutes until it gets foamy.
Add the sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture.
Stir until well combined.
Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing until the dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Cut it into even squares.
Place the squares on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Bake the biscuits for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush the tops with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
