Equipment
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 damp paper towel.
  • 1 dutch oven
Ingredients

  • 1 pound of raw shrimp peeled, deveined, and roughly chopped
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 3 cups coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 stalk celery diced
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Dab of water for sealing the wrappers
Instructions

  • Thaw the frozen shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels.
Preheat your air fryer or Dutch oven with vegetable oil to the recommended cooking temperature for deep frying (around 350°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, coleslaw mix, bean sprouts, celery, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger, and sesame oil.
    Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Lay out the egg roll wrappers on a clean working surface.
Place about 2 tablespoons of the shrimp mixture in the center of each wrapper.
Fold in the sides of the wrapper, then roll the wrapper tightly around the filling from the bottom to the top.
To seal the roll, moisten the edge of the egg roll wrapper with a dab of water.
  • After sealing each egg roll, cover them with a damp paper towel to prevent the egg roll wraps from drying out.
  • If you're using an air fryer, cook the egg rolls for 10-12 minutes at 350°F.
If you're deep frying in a Dutch oven, fry the egg rolls for 3-4 minutes until they're golden brown in batches, turning often to ensure they cook evenly.
  • After cooking, remove the shrimp egg rolls from the cooking vessel and place them on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
Serve the seafood egg rolls hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
Enjoy your delicious and juicy shrimp egg rolls!
