In a large bowl, combine the ground pork with salt, sage, thyme, black pepper, garlic powder, and maple syrup.
Mix thoroughly to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
Divide the pork mixture into 4 equal portions.
Pat each portion into a flat round shape, about 1/2 inch thick, to form the patties.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Once heated, add the sausage patties to the skillet.
Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F and are nicely browned.
Always make sure the meat is cooked through.
Remove the cooked patties from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.
Serve immediately while they’re still hot and juicy.
