Applebee’s Parmesan Shrimp Recipe
The key to nailing this dish is getting a good sear on the steak while keeping the shrimp juicy. A cast iron skillet works wonders here! You’ll start by grilling or pan-searing the steak to your desired doneness. Medium-rare is my go-to for maximum flavor and juiciness. While the steak rests, quickly sauté the shrimp in butter and garlic until pink and curled. Simmer heavy cream, then whisk in plenty of grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and velvety.

Total Time 25 minutes mins

- 4 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Garlic minced
- 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add minced garlic.
Stir in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
Add grated Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Return the shrimp to the skillet, coating them in the sauce.
